Vestry Highlights April-June:
- The Audit Committee completed its first audit by committee! Thank you to the stellar committee: Nathan Baker (chair), Phillip Fiorini, Tim Birkel, Logan Posson, Jamie Dunn, Lukas Smith, and Ken Racke (ex officio). The committee concluded finances were appropriately represented for 2024, and have recommended a handful of new policies and procedures for the Vestry to institute for internal control purposes. Reach out to Nathan Baker (nathanwbaker@gmail.com) if you would like more information about the audit process or its findings.
- Spring Cleaning Day was a success in early May thanks to 19 volunteers who deep cleaned windows and walls, flooring, bathrooms, garden beds, and storage rooms. Special shout-out to Clay Purswell for weeding and mulching!
- Adopted new policies for Diocesean Convention Delegate selection, and Safe Church and Background Check compliance
- Awarded additional grant to help support the cost of the new A/V system and received partial funding for the Sacred Forest Project.
- Assumed financial responsibility for the St. Alban’s Peace Garden and received grant funds from Community Health Network for 2025 gardening activities.
Future Plans:
- Schedule Fall Cleaning Day.
- Prepare annual Stewardship and Budget Planning.
The Vestry welcomes your questions and participation in the course of our life together. We invite you to join us, or continue supporting our operational and Benevolence Fund ministries, and thank you for your partnership in stewarding our mission.
