After Easter, we’ll begin a new season at The Table.
Where we’ve been
In the fall of 2015 we landed in the Indy area and began by hosting weekly dinner and conversation about the kind of church we wanted to become: a multiplying movement of Jesus communities networked together under a common vision of encountering, embodying, and extending the reconciling love of God in Christ.
Then, beginning on the first Sunday of Advent 2015, and through the winter, we facilitated a simple worship gathering and meal to give people a “feel” for what these Jesus communities could look like.
Where we’re going
Now we are gathering a core team of leaders for a season of discipleship and mission. We’ll be modeling and training people in the core DNA of The Table, which will form the “nucleus” at the center of every Jesus community as we grow and multiply.
This will reshape our Sunday night gatherings after Easter. Through Spring and Summer 2016, we will focus on training in discipleship and modeling missional community.
Our goal is to multiply 2-3 new missional communities and then discern how these communities can come together to facilitate a weekly “Word and Sacrament” worship gathering that forms and sustains us and can be a base for further multiplication into other areas of Indianapolis.
