This coming Sunday (Nov 20) is the Feast of Christ the King, the final Sunday of the liturgical year. On the following Sunday (Nov 27) we will begin the new liturgical year with the First Sunday of Advent.
In many ways, it feels as if the year has flown by so it’s hard to believe we are already entering the holiday season. I’m very much looking forward to entering into the sweet waiting of Advent with you all!
As our Vestry has been sharing on Sundays, we are in the midst of our 2023 Giving Campaign. In the past, many of us have experienced the offering as a time when shame, guilt, and fear are entangled with the act of giving, but at The Table we invite you to participate in the giving as a celebration. Like every other aspect of our worship, coercion has no place in the offertory. You are invited to participate in and contribute to the life of our church as a celebration of what God is doing.
If you have done so yet, would you consider pledging your partnership with us for the coming year?
As of today, we have received pledges for ~$44,000 of our $184,000 goal — about 24% of the way there! Remember the deadline for pledging is Sunday November 27th.
Thank you for your partnership in the gospel, beautiful people! God is present and at work among us, and we all get to participate in it.
Grace and peace,
Fr. Spencer
P.S. You can put your pledge into action today by setting up a recurring donation online.
