Dear sisters and brothers,
I’ll remind you that Easter is not just a day, but a whole season! Fifty days of feasting and rejoicing in the resurrection of Jesus. In addition to celebrating during Eastertide, I have also sensed an invitation to lean more intentionally into praying for healing for the needs among us right now.
To that end, we are offering a Holy Eucharist service with Prayers for Healing on Wednesday April 17 at 12pm in the Chapel. There will be opportunity to pray for those who are sick and in need of healing in our midst, as well as receive the laying on of hands and anointing with oil. I hope you can join us. Perhaps it will be the first of more such services during Eastertide. We will also be offering healing prayer on Sunday mornings during communion.
I know that many of us have a lot of unanswered questions and mixed feelings about praying for healing, but I think there is an opportunity in this season for us to lean into those difficult questions and feelings on behalf of those in our midst who need healing.
In Christ,
Fr. Ben
