What a week we’ve had! We had over 60 people join us for our first socially-distanced outdoor worship gathering. All things considered, our first in-person worship gathering in over 5 months went exceedingly well!
We made a decision as a staff to continue meeting outdoors for worship on Sundays (weather and infection rates permitting) through the end of October.
But in order to do that we need your help! Setup and tear down for outdoor worship takes a lot of time for just a few people. But, if we had small teams taking small responsibilities each week it would significantly cut down on the amount of time we need!
Would you consider participating on one of the following teams to help us gather for the next few months?
Here are the teams we need help with:
- Altar Ministry
- Music Team
- Audio / Visual Tech
- Website Maintenance
- Hospitality Team
For most teams, the commitment would be to come early and/or stay after the worship gathering (15-45 minutes, depending on the team). To indicate your interest (not necessarily a commitment!), please fill out the form below:
Also, we have heard some helpful feedback from this past Sunday, and so for this Sunday’s gathering, we’d like to recommend:
- Plan to bring some sort of shade for your seating area. This could be an umbrella, a portable canopy/tent, a hat/sunglasses, etc.
- Y’all did a GREAT job with your kiddos this past Sunday! Let’s continue to share and brainstorm together how to keep our kids occupied so they can participate (rather than distracted so they can’t participate).
- We made some small goofs in our plan due to some last-minute scrambling. We’re working hard to get on same page and make sure we have all hands on deck this Sunday! 🙂
If you have more feedback feel free to reach out and share with me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
So looking forward to seeing you in person this Sunday, beloved.
In Christ, your servant,
