For the past year or so, we have been an “affiliated congregation” of the Episcopal Church, and we are very excited to share that the Vestry officially submitted our application to become a full member of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis last week. We are very grateful for the diligence of the discernment process we have been in with the Diocese of Indianapolis and are excited to step into the next phase of our walk together.
There are a few upcoming next steps that we wanted to share with you so that you can add them to your calendar and join us in praying about:
Meeting with Bishop Jennifer | Thursday November 2nd (7pm in the Chapel) — Bishop Jennifer will come to meet with us to share and answer questions. All are welcome to attend, so please mark your calendars and plan to join us!
Diocesan Convention | November 10-11th — The Table’s request to join the Diocese of Indianapolis will be voted on by the delegates and, if it goes as expected, we will be officially welcomed as a Mission of the Diocese at this time. To find out more about the convention (which you are welcome to attend if you’re interested), check out the webpage: https://indydio.org/2023-diocesan-convention/
Thank you for your continued prayer throughout this process and, as always, if you have any thoughts or questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of the Rectors, Staff, or Vestry.
Rectors: Spencer Ruark, Ben Sternke, Matt Tebbe
Staff: Jon Crawford, Joel Rockey, and Mallory Ruark
Vestry: Elle McGarvey, Josie Fasoldt, Ken Racke, MaryEllen Pitts, Donna Romack, and Brent Croxton
Peace,
Fr. Spencer
