Last Sunday we rejoiced and rested in the kingship of Jesus: his sovereign love and cross-shaped power to reconcile all things to God, enact justice, and make peace.
And now (after Thanksgiving, at any rate) we get ready to turn the corner into a new liturgical year, where we’ll be utilizing A Women’s Lectionary to focus on the stories of women in the Scriptures who are too often on the margins of our regular Bible diet.
You can read more about the Women’s Lectionary here, and we’ll discuss it this Sunday (Nov 27) at 9am during our Adult Sunday School hour.
Giving campaign deadline Nov 27
Also, speaking of a new liturgical year, allow me to remind you that the deadline for pledging your 2023 giving to The Table is THIS Sunday (November 27).
Many of you have done this already (thank you!), and of course many of you have given faithfully for years already. It’s an incredible honor to be able to partner together with y’all in what God is doing through our little church!
To make things a little more concrete: We are seeking to raise $184,000 for 2023, and so far we have received pledges totaling ~$65,000, so we still have a ways to go, and we could use your help to get us across the finish line!
NOTE: Even if you currently give regularly, we’d love to know what you are planning to do in 2023. It will help us pray and plan and discern how God is at work in our midst.
So, if you haven’t done so yet, please click the button below to pledge your giving for 2023:
Thank you for your partnership in the gospel, lovely people!
Grace and peace,
Fr. Ben
P.S. You can put your pledge into action today by setting up a recurring donation online.
