Hey Church—
I’m writing with a quick update on our 2024 Giving Campaign.
We received 50 pledges for a total of $194,800, including 12 first-time pledgers! THANK YOU to all who’ve indicated they plan to participate financially to our church this coming year. This is a “healthy total we can plan around,” according to our Treasurer Ken Racke.
(If you haven’t pledged yet you can still do so here.)
Your pledge helps us to budget and plan for the coming year; we use your pledges as a guide, not as a contract.
In February during our annual meeting, we’ll have more details on the 2024 budget, as well as elect new Vestry members and answer questions about the year ahead. Stay tuned for more on that. Between now and then, we’ll finalize our budget with input from the diocese as we clarify our financial responsibilities to them this year.
Thank you for being the kind of people who can tolerate—even appreciate— discussion of finances and budgets, etc. I confess I have some past anxiety about doing this in churches, but I’m impressed by our community’s willingness to do difficult things together for the sake of Christ and the kingdom of God.
Looking forward to a blessed Advent with you,
Fr. Matt
