Dear Church,
Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we as Staff and Vestry discern how best to weather the ongoing storm of COVID-19. We met last week and decided to continue meeting for worship on Zoom for the month of July.
Even in the last week as states relaxed their social distancing protocols we’ve seen infection rates skyrocket around the country. We are committed to loving the most vulnerable among us in this time by sacrificing our own personal preferences and comforts of meeting all together.
All this being said, we’d like to try and gather for an outdoor, public worship gathering on Sunday, August 2nd. More details and planning are forthcoming, but the preliminary idea would be to:
- Gather for worship outdoors with social distancing and safety protocols in place,
- Stream our service live for those who cannot join us, and
- Do this one time and get data and feedback from our community as we discern how to move forward.
In the meantime, if you haven’t done so already, make sure you sign up for pre-consecrated Eucharist elements for our online worship gatherings in July (sign up by July 1 at 12pm): https://www.thetableindy.org/eucharist-elements-sign-up/
And if you’d like to give us feedback on re-gathering and how you and your family are navigating quarantine and worship you can fill out our survey form here: https://www.thetableindy.org/fill-out-our-re-gathering-survey/
In Christ,
Fr. Matt
