All are invited to a six-week class on Faith & Politics, starting Sunday September 8 at 9am in the Parlor. The class will help us to not only endure but live faithfully through the 2024 election season together. We’ll cover:
- What is politics anyway?
- How MAGA happened,
- Various Christian responses and relationships to the state throughout history,
- A theological framework for political engagement, and
- How to prepare ourselves as a church for whatever fallout comes from the results of the upcoming election.
There will be plenty of space for reflection and discussion, along with history, theology, exegesis, and organizing for the common good: this class will cover a lot of ground! Youth are invited to join us for the class; we will not have nursery childcare. You are welcome to bring your kiddo or join us online on Zoom (click the link below).
Recordings of the class can be found here.
