Dear kindred in Christ,
I mentioned in my sermon this past Sunday that I would send out a brief liturgy that families and friends can pray together during the lighting of the candles of an Advent wreath. It’s very simple, and utilizes part of the Gospel passage and the Collect of the Day for each week of Advent. You can download a printable version of the liturgy using the button below.
(Note: this liturgy has been updated for Advent 2025):
Speaking of prayer, it was good to gather online for Compline and Morning Prayer this week, and I hope that many of you can join us in the coming weeks. We are gathering during Advent for Compline (Nighttime prayer) on Tuesday evenings at 8:30pm and Morning Prayer on Wednesdays at 7:00am. Zoom links can be found here.
Though the days are dark, beloved, the kingdom of God is near. Let’s stay awake and connected in love together.
In Christ,
Fr. Ben
